The second Satsangh of the second semester was held on 26th February, immediately after the evening prayer in the chapel. The Guest for the Day was Rev. Fr. Mathai Alankott. Achen was the first ordained deacon of STOTS. After retirement from his parish ministry at Sacramento near Sanfrancisco, Achen is presently running a retirement home at Mezhuveli, Kerala. He shared his experiences of his mission work at Makkodia Mission near Itarsi and also at Samath Pippriya Mission near Jabalpur which was a joint venture of St. Thomas Mission Bhilai and St. Thomas Orthodox Seminary.
The 3rd Satsangh of second semester was held on 27th February. The guest for the day was Rev. Dr. Ajith Kumar, Director, Shanthi Ashram, Dehegaon. His sharing was enlightening to see the valuable insights of other scriptures also. He spoke about “Satsangh” and the inculturated methodology of evangelization in India.
The 4th Satsangh of Second semester was conducted with H.G. Dr. Geevarghese Mar Yulios on 6th March 2019, immediately after the evening prayers at STOTS Chapel. His Grace gave a very meaningful devotional interpretation of the Bhajagovindam of Shri Sankaracharya.
These Sathsangh meetings proved very meaningful for the seminary family.
