Annual General Body Meeting of OSSAE-OKR held at STOTS Nagpur
15th -16th September 2023
The annual general body meeting of OSSAE-OKR was held at St. Thomas Orthodox Theological Seminary, Nagpur on 15th and 16th of September 2023.
Nearly 50 delegates including Sunday School Diocesan Vice Presidents, Directors, Secretaries and Teachers from all the seven OKR dioceses attended the meeting. HG Dr. Yuhanon Mar Demetrios Metropolitan of Delhi Diocese and the President of OSSAE-OKR presided over the meeting. The theme for this year’s meeting was ‘Be Teachers and the Keepers of the Commandments’ taken from the Gospel of St. Matthew 5:19. Fr. Dr. Jossi Jacob, Principal of STOTS-Nagpur and the Director of OSSAE OKR welcomed everyone.
This year’s theme was elaborately presented by Mrs. Cincy Mariyamma Thomas the faculty for Religious studies at STOTS Nagpur. The Presenter highlighted the importance of the role of a teacher as the one who guides his/her disciple from darkness to light.
A bible study was taken by Mrs. Mercy John the faculty for the New Testament studies. The reader highlighted that it is always easy to teach the commandments but a teacher should set an example to the disciple by keeping the same.
The Annual Report and the audited accounts were presented and passed. Fr. B.M.Thomas – treasurer OSSAE-OKR, Fr. Anish Issac Mathew – Executive Officer OSSAE – OKR, Fr. Baiju Thomas – Director OVBS-OKR, Fr. Anish Mathew – Sunday School Vice President Chennai Diocese, Fr. John Jacob – Sunday School Vice President Delhi Diocese, Fr. Gemcy Eapen Vice President Calcutta Diocese Sunday School and Mr. Thomas George – Secretary OVBS OKR were also present.
The winners of the Inter Diocesan Competitions 2022 were felicitated and various matters for the smooth functioning of the Sunday School activities at OKR were discussed during the executive meeting.
Devotional address by the President and sing along session for the delegates were very much appreciated.
The business session brought forward productive suggestions and valuable inputs by the delegates, which were warmly welcomed and the meeting concluded with great joy and happiness.
The grace of the Almighty God, the hard-work of the STOTS family and the dedication of the delegates made the Annual General Body Meeting 2023 a great success.
